YOUR OPERATING DRAFT

A managed business line · incoming requests

  1. Establish the senderConfirm the provisioned line, project scope and shared place for operators to answer.
  2. Validate the directionVerify the incoming event and contact-first rules. Persist one durable job for each accepted message.
  3. Gate the sendShow the final text and exact recipient. Bind approval to that draft; reject changes after approval.
  4. Plan recoveryDistinguish accepted, failed and unknown outcomes. Deduplicate events and avoid blind retries after an uncertain send.

01
Managed API

Miss Blue

An agent line with an operator close by

Miss Blue is our featured choice for a business agent that needs a dedicated number, project-scoped access and a shared place for people to take over. Its API and MCP paths support bringing your own agent into the messaging workflow.

Watch for: A sandbox is simulated; paid live lines and a real handoff need separate acceptance checks.

02
Managed API

Sendblue

An inbound-first agent with a clear upgrade question

Sendblue’s named AI Agent offering starts with a dedicated inbound-first line and webhook access. It is a relevant option when the customer opens the conversation and the application mainly answers.

Watch for: Outbound initiation belongs to quoted enterprise access, not an assumed feature of the $100 inbound line.

Read the full review $100/line/month inbound; outbound quoted
03
Managed API

Linq

A messaging channel for a client-centered agent

Linq publishes both a messaging API and an official Claude Code iMessage channel. It can fit an agent whose working environment is that client and whose architecture needs the documented channel actions.

Watch for: The official channel has a specific host requirement; general app pricing does not establish API pricing.

04
Managed API

Blooio

Choose the agent’s initiation rights before its tools

Blooio offers shared, dedicated and inbound-only plans alongside a documented MCP endpoint. That variety can support different agent prototypes, provided the sender model is chosen explicitly.

Watch for: The inbound plan is reply-only and excludes scheduled outbound initiation.

05
Managed API

LoopMessage

An agent budget built around sender options

LoopMessage has configurable dedicated plans with separate phone-number, fallback and initiation options. It is a candidate when the team wants to assemble a specific sender arrangement rather than infer everything from a base price.

Watch for: The $59.99 Light base excludes options that may be required for the intended agent workflow.

06
Managed API

Photon

A choice about who operates the messaging layer

Photon documents managed tiers and a self-hosted route. Its value to an agent team is the architecture choice: pay for managed access or take responsibility for the Mac-based service.

Watch for: Free and Pro use a shared pool; Business has a different dedicated-line model.

07
Managed API

messages.dev

A focused agent that answers incoming contacts

messages.dev documents a developer-oriented API, webhook verification and a contact-first production model. It is a candidate for an inbound assistant with a clear durable event-processing layer.

Watch for: Outside the sandbox, recipients must message the line first; confirm paid production pricing.

08
Managed API

Contiguity

An agent line budget with several published components

Contiguity’s pricing separates the number lease from iMessage access. For an agent team, the first question is which components and use-case charges belong in the production account.

Watch for: The published Unlimited communications tier is not the iMessage subscription price.

Read the full review $9.99 number + $69.99 iMessage/month; setup extra
09
CRM platform

Tuco AI

A platform with manual, assisted and autonomous modes

Tuco AI describes Manual, Copilot and Autopilot modes with a workspace and knowledge-oriented setup. It is relevant when a team wants a packaged conversation workflow rather than only a raw messaging endpoint.

Watch for: Confirm the monthly tier, escalation behavior and permissions; the pricing page publishes a $335 setup charge.

Own devices

myCRMSIM

An owned-device path for a technically prepared team

myCRMSIM describes native iPhone/eSIM use with a Mac app and an annual per-line subscription. It puts more of the messaging infrastructure in the customer’s hands.

Watch for: The $290 annual per-line entry at 1–10 lines excludes devices, carrier service and operational labor.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Before the agent answers.

Can any plan start a new conversation?

No. Some production paths are inbound-first or contact-first. Confirm outbound initiation with the provider and the exact paid tier.

Does an MCP connector make an agent production-ready?

It supplies a tool interface. Durable event handling, approvals, credential scope and human escalation still belong to the application and operator.

Does the planner send messages?

No. It builds a local checklist from your selections. It does not connect to any provider or store your answers.

Are these agent accuracy scores?

No. We have not benchmarked the services or their models. The publisher operates Miss Blue and discloses that relationship.
